The arrival of Cherry blossoms signals the end of chilly winter. The blossom season starts from the first March till mid of April. Cherry blossom viewing began in ancient times when aristocrats wrote poetry and sang songs under the flowering trees. The Japanese like cherry blossom because the shape and color of the petals reflect people’s ideal notion of purity and simplicity. They are also touched by the blossoms that they are so fragile short-lived scattering just a few days after the flower. Every time there is the slightest breeze, a shower of cherry-blossom petals is produced. At the same time one can also view the green terraced fields flowering trees of apricot, almond, peach, and apple snow capped mountains crystal clear rivers and creeks and blue skies make up a blend of unmatched beauty.

The series of four distinct seasons in the mountain kingdom of Gilgit-Baltistan in Pakistan makes up a unique blend of tourism flavor. Each season is packed with a distinct feature displaying a scenic aura unique in its own features.
